Do differences in work disability duration by interjurisdictional claim status vary by industry and jurisdictional context?

Objectives To examine whether differences in work disability duration between out-of-province and within-province workers differed by industry jurisdictional context. Methods Workers’ compensation data were used to identify comparable lost time, work-related injury musculoskeletal disorder claims accepted six Canadian jurisdictions 2006 2015. Out-of-province identified as who filed a different provincial jurisdiction their province of residence. Coarsened exact matching was match with based on observable characteristics. Quantile regression models estimate cumulative days paid at percentiles the distribution, adjusting for confounders.
